Prerequisites
  • Knowledge of matrix algebra and simple calculus is assumed.
  • Prior attendance at the "Mathematica: Basics" course or equivalent experience
  • Those attending should be able to use a plain text editor (e.g. emacs, gedit, pico, vi) on a Unix system as might be obtained from the Emacs or Vi introductory courses.
Topics covered
  • Handling graphics
  • Plotting data
  • Combining graphics
Format

Self-paced practicals.

System requirements

Mathematica v. 7 on PWF Linux

Notes
  • No attempt is made to teach mathematical techniques.
  • Attendees may also be interested in the "Mathematica: Linear Algebra" course.
Duration
