Prerequisites


Description

This beginners course equips you with the skills to implement a relational database design entity relationship diagram (ERD) into a MySQL database.

Prerequisites

A basic understanding of programming concepts would be helpful but is not required.

Part 1:

  • Connecting to and Disconnecting from the MySQL Server
  • Creating tables
  • Applying PKs and FKs
  • Inserting data
  • Modifying table structure
  • Update and delete data
  • Using LIKE, BETWEEN, and wildcards to find data
  • Querying data from one table (select)
  • Using comparison, logical and arithmetic operators
  • Concatenation of data
  • Using aliases
  • Grouping and ordering data
  • Aggregation of data: SUM AVG MIN MAX COUNT
